Overview
HospiceMD’s EHI (Electronic Health Information) Export feature allows users to export EHI in a computable and electronic format for single-patient EHI export and for patient population EHI export.
Benefits
- The EHI Export Feature provides users with timely access to patient health record retrieval in a usable format.
- HospiceMD users are better able to exchange data in accordance with the USCDI standard (United States Core Data for Interoperability).
- The EHI Export Feature supports the goals set by the 21st Century Cures Act.
- EHI Export is a requirement for the Promoting Interoperability Program.
Excluded Data
- Psychotherapy notes are excluded from the EHI data, per 45 CFR 164.501.
- Any information prepared in anticipation of legal proceedings (civil, criminal, and administrative).

HospiceMD EHI may be exported as either an XLSX file or CSV zip archive. Exports can be made for either a single patient or a patient population.
